I am a free-lance journalist specialized in culture and minority issues. In particular, I am a frequent contributor to the Brazilian magazine Revestres.
I have recently also become very interested in data journalism, the field which focuses on transforming the massive data sources that recently became available into relevant, timely and involving news stories.
I am also an independent researcher in Political Economy of Communication, who focuses on various aspects of the Latin American media market and its regulation.
I have finished my PhD in 2017 at the School of Communication at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with the thesis: `Structures and Dynamics of the Brazilian Pay-TV Market in the Process of Reproduction of Capital'.
I am also vice-leader of COMUM, an international research group headquartered in Federal University of PiauĂ (Brazil) which studies Media, Political Economy and Diversity.
My main research interests are:
- TV market
- Media convergence
